About CBC

Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival

was started in 2011 by the Camp’s Board of Directors as a fundraiser for the Camp’s scholarship and capital development funds. It has achieved that goal, operating in the black every year thanks to careful planning and generous stewardship of the festival’s sponsors, organizational team, and volunteers.

The festival has also become a way to introduce a larger community to the Camp, and to bring Camp friends and family together for a special annual event.

In 2019, Carolina Country magazine readers voted Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival the winner of the inaugural “Carolina’s Finest” award for the Best Festival in the state of North Carolina! In 2020, the COVID-19 global pandemic and state restrictions prohibited us from holding the festival. We were more grateful than ever to gather together in 2021, and again, we were blessed to win the Carolina Country “Carolina’s Finest” award for Best Festival.

Each year, we pray for a “successful” festival as our Heavenly Father would define success!

The family-friendly festival has featured the very best acts in bluegrass and related genres. Our Front Porch Stage has welcomed Blue Highway, the Kruger Brothers, Alison Brown Quintet, Scythian, Sammy Shelor and Lonesome River Band, Tim White and Troublesome Hollow, Sierra Hull, the Grascals, Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers, The Kody Norris Show, Junior Sisk, The Biscuit Eaters, the late Terry Baucom and the Dukes of Drive, and so many more. This eclectic group respects traditional bluegrass, cues up the Celtic influences, introduces progressive bluegrass, and even brings a jazz fusion to our audiences. Our artists have won the prestigious Steve Martin Award for Excellence in Banjo, GRAMMY awards, and IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) awards.

Besides big awards, they have won our hearts. We invite musical guests who enjoy being at Carolina Bible Camp and take time to meet their fans. Kids and adults alike can count on a chance to meet their favorite musicians during the festival.

What Guests & Artists are Saying...
As Our State employees, we get to see many wonderful events across North Carolina. My wife and I were truly impressed with the Bluegrass Festival at Carolina Bible Camp. It is a grassroots event and reflects a genuine, hands-on approach by the Carolina Bible Camp family.

Bill Buschmann, Account Supervisor, Our State magazine

What a wonderful day for Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers, fans and families! Super facilities and an atmosphere that helps everyone enjoy good fellowship and make memories. Highly recommended!
