Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival

was started in 2011 by the Camp’s Board of Directors as a fundraiser for the Camp’s scholarship and capital development funds. It has achieved that goal, operating in the black every year thanks to careful planning and generous stewardship of the festival’s sponsors, organizational team, and volunteers.

The festival has also become a way to introduce a larger community to the Camp, and to bring Camp friends and family together for a special annual event.

In 2019, Carolina Country magazine readers voted Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival the winner of the inaugural “Carolina’s Finest” award for the Best Festival in the state of North Carolina! In 2020, the COVID-19 global pandemic and state restrictions prohibited us from holding the festival. We were more grateful than ever to gather together in 2021, and again, we were blessed to win the Carolina Country “Carolina’s Finest” award for Best Festival.

Each year, we pray for a “successful” festival as our Heavenly Father would define success!

CBC Bluegrass festival is a hidden gem in NC. Fabulous venue, supporting a great cause that offers top quality music and amenities. Well organized and provides festival goers with a great overall experience. As an artist, one the best events we have had the privilege to play and their hospitality and attention to detail regarding artist relations is second to none. Highly recommend this wonderful event.

David Culler, BackPorch Bluegrass

“The Carolina Bible Camp is rooted deep in traditional music and it is a joy to be apart of the festivities.  With an inviting family atmosphere and a strong appreciation for string band music of all types, this is not a festival to miss!”

Dom Flemons,
The American Songster

We love the friendly atmosphere at the Carolina Bible Camp.  It is such a beautiful and peaceful place to bring your family for a fun time.  This will be our third year and we are looking forward with anticipation of enjoying great food, unique vendors and watching our favorite artists.

Don and LeeAnn Bowling

The organizers and volunteers at Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival treated us like family. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and the food and artist hospitality was truly top notch. As touring musicians away from home for weeks at a time, this makes a huge difference in our lives. The fans attending the festival were equally as kind. The festival provides a family friendly environment to enjoy great bluegrass and roots music. Both times we played, the lineup included a diverse mix of legends, and big names in bluegrass as well as great, young, and up and coming talent. The sound reinforcement crew was easy to work with, and provided amazing sound quality. This makes our jobs as musicians much easier, and allows us to connect with the audience on a deeper level. Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival is a great example of a festival done right!

“We met the [CBC festival] organizers at MerleFest and to us it seems that what they're trying to create is
a continuation of that MerleFest spirit – great bluegrass in a real family friendly environment.”
